Construction: Laser-cut 1/8-inch thick (3mm) sheet steel; matte black electroplate finish for rust-resistance.

Fitment: This simple steel plate has feet any competent garage mechanic can bend with a torch and crescent wrench to fit the contours of his rear fender. After modifying the plate to stand upright on the fender, simply drill two holes through the fender using the bracket as a guide. Some sexy acorn nuts or button Allen cap screws will complete the install and give you a place to mount your Model B taillight. This is just one home fab application for this pre-cut plate. Clever builders will come up with dozens of other ways to put this piece to good use.

Details: The black electroplate finish is not intended to withstand heat and bending. It is merely plated to protect the raw steel in our warehouse and on your shelf. After tweaking your Model B bracket to fit your fender, we suggest polishing and chroming, or at least a good coat of Krylon.
